Some weddings leave a lasting impression, and Stacey & Nick’s Barns at Redcoats wedding was undoubtedly one of them. Set in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside, this stunning barn wedding venue was the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, elegance, and an abundance of breath-taking florals.
From Santorini to ‘I Do’
Following a picture-perfect sunset engagement in Santorini, Stacey and Nick wanted their wedding to feel just as magical. Their vision? A barn wedding filled with dreamy, timeless florals in soft ivory and white, creating a classic and romantic look. With no foliage in sight, their wedding flowers focused solely on lush blooms, creating a striking balance between the rich barn heritage and sophisticated modern styling of their flowers.

Statement Flowers for a Barn Wedding
To bring their vision to life, we carefully designed statement flowers for a barn wedding that could transition seamlessly throughout the day. Their floral palette featured mostly Gypsophila and roses wedding flowers, with accents of fluffy white Hydrangeas. The result? A refined, bold and modern aesthetic that exuded timeless romance.
The Ceremony – A Romantic Floral Backdrop
For their ceremony, Stacey and Nick stood between asymmetrical floral columns, which created a stunning focal point for their vows. These arrangements were later repurposed within the wedding breakfast room set up to behind the sweetheart table.
Three hanging floral arrangements—suspended eight-foot flower clouds—were carefully positioned above the chandeliers on the beams, making the most of the height within the room. These floral clouds remained in place from the ceremony through to the wedding breakfast and onto the evening party, providing a show stopping feature that elevated the entire space.
To further enhance the ambiance, clusters of candles and mini flower clouds were placed down the aisle (later moved to become the guest table flowers) and two grand white urns filled abundantly with Gypsohila and Roses stood atop pillar stands. These statement pieces framed the ceremony perfectly before being moved to the sweetheart table and drinks reception bar, ensuring the florals made an impact throughout the day.

Bridal Bouquet – A Touch of Sentiment
Stacey’s bridal bouquet was nothing short of dreamy. A soft, fluffy dome of gypsophila with reflexed ivory roses made for a beautifully delicate and ethereal bouquet. The bouquet was finished with satin ribbon and a tulle overlay, lovingly saved from Stacey’s wedding dress by her seamstress. Adding a deeply personal touch, we also attached a sentimental locket to the bouquet handle, ensuring Stacey carried a piece of her heart with her throughout the day.
A Four-Legged Ring Bearer
No wedding is complete without a special guest, and for Stacey and Nick, that was their beloved Labrador, River. Dressed for the occasion, and looked after by the wonderful team from Walkies at Weddings, River took on the all-important role of ring bearer and stayed to celebrate the full day.
